Men in a Baby Shower Party
Baby shower party is held to welcome both the baby and the mother-to-be – the baby for the near birth into this world and for the soon-to-be-mom for the near motherhood. In preparing the guest list, the question that is so difficult to answer is that should men be invited in this kind of event? Say for example the soon-to-be-father; shouldn’t he be celebrating with his wife as well?
Traditionally, men are not supposed to be invited in a baby shower party for this kind of occasion is usually a woman oriented party; hence the husband is usually pop up at the end of the party to help out his wife. But in today’s lifestyle, a lot of things have altered and evolved which includes the guest list of a baby shower party. Men are okay to be present but the downside of this is that the atmosphere will change, like the girls can’t be as sentimental as they wish for they will be teased by the men or makes bullying comments. So, if it is the celebrant’s first baby shower it is nice to stick to the tradition, no men allowed. For her to be able to experience a baby shower that is so girly and hesitations on whatever emotions the women has to express, besides it a sentimental party by the nature. After the baby shower party, men can join for the after party.
